This is "The Knot": https://www.theknot.com

If you are a wedding vendor who is interested in using The Knot as a way to promote your services and you want to know The Knot Prices, here is a clear breakdown of how much they charge and what you should know before signing up.

At the time I spoke directly with The Knot, they explained that pricing varies depending on the package you choose and the demand of the location you want to advertise in. High-demand markets cost more, and pricing can change depending on availability.

Below are the prices I was quoted for Palm Beach, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale.

The Knot + WeddingWire Pricing (Combined)

These prices include both platforms: The Knot and WeddingWire.

Package

Monthly Cost

Spotlight

$1,518 / month

Feature

$476 / month

Professional

$243 / month

The Knot Only Pricing

If you choose to advertise only on The Knot, here is what I was quoted:

Package

Monthly Cost

Spotlight

$759 / month

Feature

$280 / month

Professional

$143 / month

These prices are retail pricing based on the high-demand South Florida market.

What Comes With Each Package?

Below, I will be sharing the actual slide, The Knot used during their sales pitch, which explain:

  • What comes with Spotlight, Feature, and Professional packages

  • The traffic and visibility stats The Knot claims their platform receives

This is important because what you pay for vs. what you get is not always as clear as it sounds during a sales call.

What Is a “Light Listing”?

During my conversation with The Knot, they explained something called a Light Listing.

A Light Listing means:

  • You previously paid, but stopped paying over time

  • Your profile still exists

  • You are essentially invisible in the vendor list

Couples will not find you unless:

  • They search your business name specifically, or

  • They scroll all the way to the bottom of the vendor list

This is something many vendors may not realize once they cancel.

Spotlight Vendors & Website Visibility

Spotlight vendors are told they get premium visibility, including having their work shown in a website banner.

However, I personally found this hard to believe.

From my experience:

  • The banner looks small

  • It doesn’t clearly look clickable

  • When I first visited the site, I assumed it was just a normal banner ad

This made me question how much attention it truly gets compared to what is promised.

Vendor Rotation: What The Knot Claims

If you are a paying vendor, The Knot claims they rotate vendor profiles from the top to the bottom of the list.

The idea is that:

  • Everyone gets a chance to be seen first

  • Visibility is shared among paying vendors

How effective this actually is long-term remains to be seen.

The Knot vs. WeddingWire (According to The Knot)

During our conversation, The Knot team was very clear about one thing:

If you have a small budget, they strongly recommend choosing The Knot subscription over WeddingWire.

In their words:

  • WeddingWire is less established

  • WeddingWire is not as strong as The Knot

Take that opinion with a grain of salt, since it is coming directly from their sales team.

Backlinks: Are They Guaranteed?

The Knot also mentioned that having a listing on their site would be an excellent backlink for your website.

Here’s what I’ve personally noticed:

  • I’ve seen websites with The Knot backlinks performing very well

  • I’ve also looked up vendors currently listed on The Knot who do not have a backlink at all

Because of this, I can’t confidently say that a backlink is guaranteed with every package.

What’s Next? (Part 2)

Stay engaged for Part 2, where I will:

  • Test The Knot’s Professional Package

  • Share a real breakdown of my experience

  • Show whether the cost actually turns into real leads

If you’re a wedding vendor trying to decide whether The Knot is worth it, this next part will be especially important.
